🥪 When & Where:
• Snacks will be available as students enter the gym for dismissal
• This applies to both car riders and bus riders
🎒 What Students Will Do:
Students will be instructed to place their snack in their backpack before leaving the gym.
💙 Why This Matters:
This program is designed to support our students—especially those who may experience food insecurity—and help ensure everyone has the nourishment they need at the end of the school day.

Nos complace informarles que a partir del próximo lunes, estaremos ofreciendo una merienda por la tarde para nuestros estudiantes.
🥪 Cuándo y dónde:
• Las meriendas estarán disponibles cuando los estudiantes entren al gimnasio para la salida
• Esto aplica tanto para estudiantes que van en autobús como para los que salen en automóvil
🎒 Qué harán los estudiantes:
Se les indicará a los estudiantes que guarden su merienda en sus mochilas antes de salir del gimnasio.

Week 19 (January 19- 23)
This is Gloria Painter, the Assistant Principal at Iotla Valley Elementary. I am calling with some important information for this week.
There is no school tomorrow, January 18th, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.
Students selected to participate in this spring musical theater production will practice on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
Mid-Year DIBELS assessments will occur on Tuesday and Wednesday for some classes this week, and on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
The Good News Club will be held this Thursday, 3:00 - 4:30. Students who can attend have turned in their permission slips.
A reminder that bus 23 now has a morning and afternoon driver.
Our Family Valentine's Dance is scheduled for February 12th. Further details will be provided soon.
Report Cards are available on IC. If you need help accessing IC, please contact the office.

Week 18 (January 12-16)
This is Gloria Painter, the Assistant Principal at Iotla Valley Elementary. I am calling with some important information for this week.
The Musical Theater Auditions will be held on the 12th and 13th at the end of school this week. Theater Club will meet on Wednesday until 4:30.
Our 3rd- and 4th-grade students will take the second round of NC Check-ins this week. Math will take place on Tuesday, and Reading on Thursday.
Next Monday is Martin Luther King Jr.'s holiday. There is no school.

Next week, Musical Theater Auditions for our spring show will be held on the 12th and 13th. This is for our 2nd-, 3rd-, and 4th-graders. Additional information will be sent home this week by Ms. Parham.

Week 16 (December 15-19)

Bus 23 will not run in the mornings.
Choir Club will NOT meet this week.
Yearbook pre-orders are still open. Cost is $20 until December 19th.
Our Christmas Spirit Week starts Monday with Candy Cane Day, Tuesday is Christmas Hat Day, Wednesday is Grinch Day, Thursday is Christmas Head to Toe, and Friday is the Night before Christmas, wear your PJs.
Early Dismissal on Friday will start with car riders at 11:15 and bus riders at 11:30.
Students will return from the winter holiday on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026.
