The Macon County Schools app "Rooms" is a great place to look at often for school and classroom information. This week is Santa Shop and volunteers are needed.
East Franklin Elementary has connected with Mitchell Elementary School to help support their needs from the effects of Hurricane Helene. Areas of Mitchell County were heavily impacted with many suffering staggering losses. If you would like to support and encourage families impacted by Hurricane Helene, Mitchell Elementary has a “Care Closet” that has great needs. You may either purchase directly from Amazon to send items to their school or bring donations to East Franklin Elementary. We will receive donations from December 2nd-December 6th here at school. This is a reminder that students will not have school next week. November 25th and 26th are teacher workdays and the 27th through the 29th school is closed. We hope you enjoy family time during this Thanksgiving holiday. Students will return to school on Monday, December 2nd. Happy Thanksgiving!

In honor of Veterans Day, there will be no school on Monday, November 11, 2024.

Tomorrow is our Veteran's Day program at 1:30. Families and Veterans will enter through the gym and doors open at 1:10. 3rd and 4th graders will be singing and all grade levels will attend the program. Remember that Monday is the Veteran's Day holiday and there is no school.

Tomorrow, begins the hearing and vision part of the Health Fair. If your student wears glasses, please send them to school with their glasses for the Health Fair. PTO is hosting a book themed treating for students tomorrow morning, October 30th. Students may dress up as a book character. No scary costumes or weapon accessories allowed at school. Tomorrow is also an early dismissal day. Car riders will begin at 11:10. Buses will load at 11:40 tomorrow, October 30th.
