Read Across America Week begins Monday, March 3rd
Our school literacy agriculture theme for spring will start off tomorrow as well. Students will be reading and learning many aspects of how food gets from the farm to our tables. To show our excitement for reading: Monday wear a hat, Tuesday wear fun socks or fancy footwear/boots, Wednesday dress like a farmer, Thursday wear animal shirts or animal print clothing.



School will operate on a regular schedule tomorrow morning, February 21st. We will welcome students starting at 7:30. Stay warm!

School is on a 3 hour delay tomorrow, February 20th. On 3 hour delay schedule school opens for students at 10:30. Buses run 3 hours later than their normal pick-up time. There will be no buses on icy roads. Stay safe and warm!

Friday, February 14th is a teacher workday so there will be no school for students. Tomorrow night at 5:30 PTO will host a Family Game Night. This is a no cost event so join in on the fun and games in the cafeteria.


It is National School Counseling week which honors school counselors who implement comprehensive school counseling programs, a vital part of the educational process for all students. We love our School Counselor, Mrs. Bates. She goes above and beyond to support students, families and staff.



Strawberry orders continue to be turned in. PTO will accept orders in the morning but tomorrow will be the final opportunity to order fresh strawberries. Thank you for your support. Remember PTO is sponsoring Family Game Night at 5:30 on February 11th.

It was a pleasure to host the MCS Board of Education meeting at East Franklin this evening. Our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Watson and Support Person of the Year, Mrs. Betsy were recognized for their above and beyond service to our students and school. Our Student Ambassadors and Panther Singers choir did an amazing job representing East Franklin students!
