This is Gloria Painter, the Assistant Principal at Iotla Valley Elementary. I am calling with some important announcements.
We are excited to have students back on campus tomorrow..
Pre-K and Kindergarten boys will attend all day on Monday, and Pre-K and Kindergarten girls will attend all day on Tuesday. The regular schedule for Pre-K and Kindergarten will start on Wednesday.
This week - Parents K—4: If you are walking your student into school, use the gym doors. Pre-K parents use the Pre-K pick-up and drop-off door.
Breakfast and lunch are free for students this year. Kindergarten and Pre-K students will go to breakfast with their class. All other students who need breakfast will report to the cafeteria when they arrive at school.
This school year, we will be celebrating prefect weekly attendance. At the end of each week, students who have been to school every day will be entered into a weekly drawing for a special prize on Friday afternoons. Look for our social media and website for our post celebrating these students.
School will be closed on Monday, September 1st, in observance of Labor Day. Enjoy this day with your families.

We, the staff at Iotla Valley Elementary, are very excited to welcome our students back to campus. We can't wait to see all of you!
Open House will be from 3:00 to 6:30 this Thursday, August 21st. There are many opportunities to prepare for the new school year. Come meet the teacher, get bus information, and pick up car rider passes. Parents will have the chance to speak with our school nurse and after-school site director. We can also assist with the Macon County School app for parent and teacher communication and with Infinite Campus log-ins.
Our PTO has all the information about this year's events and opportunities for parents to get involved and support our school.
Our 25-26 IVE T-shirts and hats will be available to pre-order and purchase. Smencils will be on sale.
When you are finished inside with your student, with all the excitement for this school year, KONA Ice and Chick-fil-A will be available for purchase outside.
The first day of school is Monday, August 25th.
